Dick Lovett's challenge
Dick Lovett wanted to move their website from an automotive specialist to a bespoke development partner.
Without being confined by template designs, the goal was to recreate the luxury experience you receive in their real-life dealerships, online.
Every journey starts with discovery
We visited a number of automotive brands in-person. We wanted to see how the experience you receive at a Ferrari dealership is totally different to that of a MINI dealership.
We also went around Dick Lovett's various dealerships, speaking to greeters, sales, parts and servicing to get a feel for the core values of Dick Lovett.

Test it, review it, solve it
We commissioned a series of usability tests on the existing website. We found many customers were being scared off by hyper-luxury cars on the homepage. We needed to find a middle ground – represent the brands equally.
But with each brand wanting to manage their inventory in their own way, getting the stock into the website in a uniform manner was the big technical hurdle. The solution: integrating the system of another partner – Auto Trader.
We created a painstakingly detailed specification for the new site – everyone knew what needed to be done, how it would be achieved and their role.
